Q: Why should I add BeamItNow! to my existing Bluetooth PC enabled PC?
|
A: Your existing Bluetooth software allows you to receive images, audio files, etc via Bluetooth.
But with BeamItNow! using Bluetooth with your mobile phone and PC will be quicker, easier and so much more fun.
As soon as a file is received it is shown on the screen, no user interaction is needed.
Although you can use BeamItNow! to receive any type of files via Bluetooth, the functions in BeamItNow! are optimized for images.
You can automatically or by just one mouse-click do the following with received images:
- Print the image
- Move the image to a folder
- Use the image as the desktop wallpaper
- Copy the image to the clipboard
- Forward the image in an email
- Add the image to the BeamItNow! Screen Saver
With BeamItNow! you can finally make use of the Bluetooth function you have in your mobile phone and PC!

Q: Does BeamItNow! contain a screen saver?
|
|
A: Yes! BeamItNow! contains a screen saver that shows the images that you have beamed to your PC in a slide show.
You can select which images to show, the
background color and whether or not to show a
clock in the lower right corner of the screen. You
can also select how many seconds each image shall
be shown.
A unique feature with BeamItNow! is that you can beam new images directly into the screen saver while it is running!

Q: Does BeamItNow! replace my existing Bluetooth stack software?

A: No, BeamItNow! is a service that is installed on top of your existing Bluetooth software.

Q: Can I add BeamItNow! to any Bluetooth enabled PC?
|

A: At the moment BeamItNow! can be used with any Bluetooth enabled PC that use the Bluetooth software stack from Widcomm.
Currently, most Bluetooth enabled laptops, Bluetooth PC cards and Bluetooth USB dongles use the Bluetooth stack from Widcomm.

A: Bluetooth is short-range radio based communication solution. It is used in many different areas. Today more
than one million Bluetooth products are sold each week. Most of them are Bluetooth enabled mobile phones. The phones can wirelessly synchronize with PCs, push images and be used with Bluetooth enabled headsets.

Q: Which Bluetooth enabled phones can be used with BeamItNow!?

A: BeamItNow! supports all Bluetooth enabled phones that can beam images, audio files, messages, calendar entries, contacts, etc via Bluetooth.
In fact BeamItNow! can be used with any Bluetooth enabled device that can beam objects, e.g.
PDAs.

A: Yes! BeamItNow! supports all Bluetooth enabled devices that can beam images, audio files, messages, calendar entries, contacts, etc via Bluetooth.

Q: Can you recommend a good Bluetooth PC solution?
|
|
A: If you do not have a PC with embedded Bluetooth you can Bluetooth-enable it using a PC card or a USB dongle. We recommend the TDK Bluetooth PC card and the D-link Bluetooth USB adapter.
